De-Icers & Ice Eaters

Kasco De-Icers and Ice Eaters are the result of over many years of design and engineering. Kasco Marine products are built to withstand the toughest conditions. De-Icers were originally developed to allow in-water boat storage in areas subject to freezing, the de-icer is now used in a multitude of applications. 

De-Icers push warm, bottom water to the surface to prevent or eliminate ice formation. This creates an ice-free zone of protection around boats, docks, piers, seawalls or other in-water structures or equipment preventing damage from ice jacking and expansion. De-Icers also help protect fish and aquatic species, by allowing for open areas where oxygen can enter the water.

De-Icers are not just for winter use.  These high-performance motors provide year-round benefits.  Water Circulation from a De-Icer will help eliminate foul odors, stagnant water areas and reduce floating plant growth.  

Your De-Icer or Ice Eater comes completely assembled. All you have to do is suspend it in as little as 2 feet of water and plug it into a properly grounded and GFI protected 15-Amp outlet.
