Green Clean Algaecide
Green Clean™ granular algaecide is a ready to use algaecide designed to treat, control, and prevent a broad spectrum of planktonic and filamentous blue-green algae in ponds, water gardens, concrete fountains, or earthen farm ponds, with Goldfish, Koi, and Trout present.
For best results apply Green Clean™ early in the season before algae is well-established and good contact can be made. Green Clean granular can be broadcast with a hand spreader or dissolved in water and sprayed over the water surface on the target algae. Effects of Green Clean treatment are immediately apparent (bubbling, discoloration of algae, floating dead organic matter may occur quickly).

Directions for use:
Apply GreenClean granular early in the morning on a calm sunny day to all affected areas, including waterfalls and streams.
Pro tip:
Do not tank-mix with aquatic herbicides or algaecides containing copper or bromides. Always apply GreenClean at least 1 day prior to the application of these products
Warmer water will enhance its overall effectiveness.
Re-treatment can be made 48 hours after initial treatment or when new growth begins to appear.

I was pretty hopeful about this product and used it exactly how it was explained to me. It didn’t work. I was told I had at least 3 uses per the size bucket I had, but ended up using the entire bucket over the period of 2 weeks and still nothing. No change. Still had algae on top of the water. The product changed the color of the algae for a few hours but that was it. I really wanted it to work. Pretty disappointing.

Over several days the algaecide did clear about a 20' circle of alge. But we are on a long and narrow (30' wide) lagoon. The alge just encroached back behind out house in a few days.
