Works great on Pondweeds!

REWARD HERBICIDE Contains Diquat dibromide. Reward Aquatic Herbicide is used for aquatic weed control in ponds, lakes, reservoirs, marshes, drainage ditches, canals, streams, rivers, and other slow-moving bodies of water for control of aquatic weeds. Reward is a non-selective, highly active contact herbicide. REWARD spreads quickly through the water and makes fast contact with aquatic weeds. Water-soluble, it is absorbed by target plants in just minutes, providing broad-spectrum control of floating, submersed weeds. With such outstanding control, there is never any worry about groundwater contamination or toxicity to fish, other organisms or wildlife. 

ACTION: Reward Aquatic Herbicide controls weeds by interfering with photosynthesis within green plant tissue. Plants should be actively growing for best results.

Contains:   37.3% Diquat dibromide as active ingredient.

Restricted use pesticide in Michigan. Must provide a copy of your pesticide applicators liscence if you are purchasing this product in Michigan.

Works just like Weedtrine-D, except Reward has a higher amount of active ingredient, which means less product per treatment. This product will do FOUR times as much as one gallon of Weedtrine-D. Controls all of the same types of vegetation.

The Pond Shop's Recommended Application Rate:

Step 1: Calculate the water body size, or the overall treatment area that you'll be applying products to. Calculate in Surface Acres

            (Check out our Pond & Lake Calculator to determine the size of your water body.)

Step 2: After calculating the water body size or size of the treatment area. Multiply the surface acres by  0.75  to determine the amount of Reward that will be needed for your application.  

Step 3: After determining the amount of product needed, add the mixture to enough water to spray uniformily over the target area.   Add 2 oz. of Cide Kick II or Cygnet Plus adjuvant for every 1 gallon of mixture. Spray thuroughly, making sure to cover all of the target plant. Allow material to rain down in heavy droplets for better surface penetration.

Reward will fall through the water column, and be soaked up by the plant that is being targeted. Reward is a fast acting herbicide that will show results of the treatment within 48 hours.

We recommend using a back pack style sprayer to apply all liquid algaecides and herbicides. Make sure to use personal safety equipment. Gloves and safety glasses are recommended.
